23 Oct 4705 - Conic Sections Three

I never approached this project with the idea that it was going to be a large or serious work. In fact, so far it is neither large nor serious, and if it turns into either of those things I will have, by margins, failed.
What I mean is that I had intended the original to have no companion pieces or follow-up episodes. And here I've made two, and each should at least show the hint of an intent to make more, although I have not so resolved.
I should give you some idea of how to read my comic, though. As with anything I do, there ought to be rings of subtlety and human experience intertwined with the gags. And most of my gags are going to fall short of hilarious because Conic Sections is not that kind of web comic. I would argue that it is not a web comic at all, but it is a comic, and you see it on the web so I will leave that point as is for now.
That said, the point is not the gags. Okay, mostly not. I recognize that I am not all that funny as a straight humorist. My best and brightest moments come from small assembly of language, verbal tricks, and hidden meanings. So if my comics do anything for you at all, they should make you look more than once at something. See what else you can get from it. Come to think of it, I may end up making a few of these with no jokes at all.
For now, I think my next one shall be an in-comic reading guide.
