06 Jul 4705 - Calling All Capitol Pirates
I mentioned this to Spencer and naturally Matt because he was here for round
1. I will also note that this is one of the few times that any of ye get to
affect my decision making process at all, so enjoy your rare treat.
To wit: I want to perform a repeat offense of the beast on Saxby's tonight. If I
can gather enough of an interested party (last time "enough" meant two, but I
think I'm going to push that up to three this time), I will surely go there and
pick a corner and read aloud, and invite all you to do the same.
If you wish to participate, call me or come to my house and tell me in person.
Wear a mostly solid-colour outfit, or at the very least one that bears no words.
I will be dressed in black. Bring a book that has poems in it or a clipboard or
fistful of toilet paper that boasts the same. The first time, Matt and I each
brought clipboards with some poems we had scrawled down. So far we have read
poems from other poets.
When you read, begin with the title and attribution (say who wrote it). Then you
may preach.
If there are not an enough of ye interested, I'll call the whole thing off,
invite whomsoever remains at the house to eat some of my cookies or ice cream
maybe, make sure everyone is occupied, and then take my bike to The Lucky Frog
and participate in a draft. One way or the other my creativity and need to
perform shall be satisfied tonight.
