07 Dec 4705 - Pearl Harbor Day

Even if I'm not a vindictive man, I certainly have a vindictive streak.
Maybe even a pernicious one.
This morning, after being subjected to the work of scott of vgcats, I reacted negatively to the friend who showed me the flash.

I realize that this was wrong. To better direct my frustration, I wrote an e-letter to scott instead of staying mad at the friend.
I know, I know. Why not just not read webcomics if you don't like them? Wellsir, this is not the first time something like this has happened to me, and it will certainly not be the last. I need to be able to trust my friends, and so I need to improve Comedy as a whole rather than line-item ignore the blights upon it manifested daily by blighters on the great internets. I need to call some men out.
It is hateful.
It is awful.
It has become my responsibility.

So here's what I wrote:

Dear comic maker,

Please stop doing what you do.
Your comics are unfunny, and more recently amount to theft.
I would be content to simply ignore them, except in my station as a gamer surrounded by other gamers who do not precisely share my opinion of your work, I am often witness to them anyway.
The conversation goes something like this:

Me: You know I don't like webcomics.
Friend: Yeah, but vgcats is good this week, you should check it out.
Me: Well, okay.
(looks at most recent comic on vgcats.com)
Me: Underwhelming and unfunny as always. Remind me not to do that again.

Repeat for every time there's a comic about a game I've played or anime I've watched, and you may understand why I'm frustrated.
I'm sorry to do this.

If you do not change matters, apologize for your blatant thefts and unfunny material to your victims and fans, and post only quality content, you will be my enemy. I shall advise people to not read your comic nor follow your example.
I shall call out your name on a list of villains.
I shall myself continue to ignore your work to the best of my ability.
I shall write letters to your advertisers, telling them that I will urge others to not buy their services because they advertise on your site.
And should I meet you in life, I shall surely plead for the same thing.

Stop hurting Comedy. It is more serious a crime than any, and funnier.

-Kaz

Seems to me I'm the only one willing to say anything negative about content of questionable quality lately. I think you all ought to have the right to quality goods and services, and I'm going to cry foul at anything that doesn't live up to my idea of it.
Not all is right with the world all the time.
There are things wrong with the world that I can change.
And if I do not, how could I call myself your friend? No.
I shall stand unbowed before giants if I have to.
