31 Jan 4704 - Marriage Fraud

Asking around the room, I gathered the opinion that marriage fraud is a serious offense, punished by three to five years in prison and fines of many tens of thousands of dollars. I looked into it a little.
In fact the fine is a quarter of a million dollars. Check it out.

No thanks. I prefer to keep my crimes under wraps. I'm not opposed to crime, or a crime fighter, at least not in the legal sense of the word (and cutely enough, crime fighters, or vigilantes in the legal sense of the word are criminals, go figure). Everyone commits crimes against the law of the land. The kind I seek out and punish are the crimes of the spirit, and that doesn't happen by my hand.

But by my spirit.
More on this later. I have some things to sort out before this story gets really interesting.
