On the Nature of the Scales of Social Gender
As my guiding principle and governing philosophy is evilism, this treatise will in that way be an elaboration of
my guiding principle evilism. This should not be mistaken for an inquisition into the ways and means of the orientation; rather a simple example of the orientation at work on a social construction. Evilism is largely the lens this time, and not the subject. For more pertinent matter, see the other treatises.
The scales of social gender exist in the minds of all who interact with at least one other person. A society is a body of two or more people who interact in some context and venue with no prescribed, and some expected, regularity in the same way that a word is a collection of sounds tied to a shared meaning in the minds of two or more people. All that gibberish you're uttering is not words if only you understand it. If one other person understands your nonsense, then it becomes words and thereby, sense. Similarly, if you forage off the land and live in solitude as a hermit from other humans, you are not by yourself a society. Not even you, Superman.
Each person, the unit of society, has his own scales. The scales that reflect his true opinions, unknowable to all others and mysterious to himself; the scales that others observe as a reflection of his true opinions; the scales assigned to him or presupposed in some manner (ironically enough, by the use of other scales often).
But what are the scales of social gender? Gender is a social construction and understanding. A gendered person or object is expected to behave in a certain way. To call something or someone male or female is to categorize, and within that category are all the myriad things that the scales apply to kept. Sex with regard to these same words is not a social distinction but a biological one, and is uninteresting except for the strong positive corrolation that exists between sex and gender in humans. Part of the judgement of the scales is the initial, part the discovering of corollaries and lemmas, part the passing of expectations.
The scales of social gender allow you to decide whether a person is a man or woman first, and then by analogy a male or female in gender. Without an understanding of gender, it would fall to gross physiological inquiry to solve the mystery of what sex a person is, which while scientific and effective would be sloppy and even dangerous. The scales form an idea in the first place of what gender a person is. This is their first duty and funtion. A healthy set of scales will never fail to discover this information quickly in most contexts. A feeble set of scales will falter or be slow to discover this information, and at that will still do well, much better than the scientific method. A superior set of scales will discover this information based on available sensory input that is scant and nearly invisible. This is the greater power of the scales, and rarely leads to problems, that is, in this way are almost all scales balanced and even.
The scales of social gender, once a gender is discovered, aid a person in discovering events, intentions, and actions about the subject that support the disposition of the scales. The scales tend to more easily identify those events which are expected under their set of assumptions than those events which violate norms. Violations are quickly written off as aberrations, the exception that proves the rule, or some artifact of a hidden motive not tied to the subject's actual gender. This is the lower power of the scales, as it can easily be used to pervert observations from supplying good information. A healthy set of scales will discover a moducum of disinclined events and a large amount of inclined events. A feeble set of scales will never discover a disinclined event. A superior set of scales will tend toward inaction in this regard. The corollaries are those events that follow from scale-expectations. The lemmas are those events that precede scale-expectations.
The scales of social gender take information gathered from corollaries and lemmas and pass expectations based thereon. This is the most frequent activity of the scales, and the most important. The expectations that the scales form for you will change the way you percieve all activities of all people in your society. A maladaptive point of view in this vein will lead to tragedy, and control of these views may tend to control of this tragedy. The downfall of a person can be manufactured through the perversion of the balance held in their scales of social gender. This tragedy chases the unwary. This tragedy can be a positive sword of the evilist and should be understood.
The scales of social gender are differentiable as well, that is, the scales can be self-applied to discover patterns, flaws, and benefits, the rate changing the amount as a continuous function of input effort in introspection or extrospection: knowing the balance of the scales of another subject is a difficult craft and should not be taken lightly. You are doing this exactly when you use feminazi or male chauvinist pig as words, the extreme cases.
The difficulty with qualifying someone this way is that, as before stated, the scales tend to promote their existing balance before accepting input that may change that balance. This is the inertia of the scales of social gender. The presumption is that there are differences between genders, and indeed, if there were none then there would be no such thing as gender, as this is itself a distinction of a kind.
Guard carefully the balance of the scales of social gender in yourself and others. Use this as a tool to subvert the maladaptive, be they opponents or circumstances.
